The Company also take part in the Production and Management of Eko Cassava Factory in Araga-Poka, Epe, Lagos State. The Eko Cassava Factory (“ECF”) project was a joint venture established between the Lagos State government and different companies which include Tedrix farm to fill a vacuum: the lack of cassava flour producing facilities in Lagos, the concentration zone of wheat milling capacity in Nigeria, in the wake of the federal directive regarding wheat flour/cassava flour blends. The factory, inaugurated in November 2013 by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola (SAN), began full operations in October 2013 and has begun to supply existing Tedrix clients. Our projects as mainly commercial / mechanized farming and processing of cassava root into Garri, High Quality Cassava Peel (HQCP) and Cassava Starch provide certain benefits to the host State. It supports the current Government initiative on Agricultural Development. It is our firm belief that the projects are of major significance to local and national economy. The projects also enhance the general agricultural production in the country; it provides a flexible basis for further industrialization and industrial development as more factories that use our produce for their production will move closer to the source of raw material. The projects have improved and encouraged rural development while local and overall employment opportunities are enhanced. Socially, the projects have curtailed population migration in urban centers with its attendant problems while the quality of rural life has improved. The company is a member of the National Cassava Processors and Marketers Association and the National Cassava Growers’ Association. The Company is adequately staffed with young energetic and resourceful professionals who have the talent, technical proficiency and industry experience as well as communication skills to serve with distinction.
